The SCTCCCA engages with coaches and athletes during track and field season by working towards developing a state-wide officials plan, hosting the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic Qualifying and Elite Meets, and by helping with the qualifying process up until the state championship.

The Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic Qualifying and Elite Meets were established with the intent of giving the best teams in the state regardless of classification a chance to compete against one another.
